Stabilized Wood
Welcome
to L&M
Predator Calls, the makers of the finest exotic hardwood
varmint calls available today. It all started with us looking
for a nice call to hunt with. After months of searching,
we could not find any readily available on today’s
market...so we decided to build our own. After some extensive
research,
along with trial and error, we built a call that looks
as good as it works.
We started making
our calls on an old handmade lathe handed down from grandpa.
Since then we have moved up to a more modern lathe. We
use only the highest quality of woods, all of which are
hand selected by us. Each piece of wood is different and
all have different grains, so no two calls are exactly
alike. For example, these two grains are very different
from each other. Please keep that in mind when ordering
our calls. Every call is unique in color and grain pattern.
Burls
and Spalted Maple are very unique woods that make nice
looking calls. However, they are very difficult to select
and work with. This is a piece of Maple Burl, the spot
near the mouth is a hole that was not visible at the start.
This is very common in burls and spalted woods, and adds
to the characteristics of each individual call. All of
our calls are finished with a clear gloss finish. No stains
are ever applied, we want the natural color and beauty
to show in every call we produce.
We
make three basic calls. A long range call used to wake
up the neighborhood and let them know you’re there; A short
range call for tight areas or to bring them in closer;
and lastly, a squealer to bring them to point blank range.
All three of our
calls will bring in coyotes, bobcats, fox and any other
predators you want to call in. With over 35 years of hunting
experience at L&M, we build calls that work. We are
hunters first and call makers second. If something does
not work we won’t sell it. Time spent in the field is too
valuable to waste with equipment that is sub par. With
that said, we only sell what we use in the field ourselves.
Please
feel free to call us or e-mail us with any questions
you have. Enjoy and happy hunting.
